I have begun my quest into Baldurs Gate today. Well kind of, because I had to restart my game thanks to the fact that the add-on pack messed everything up. I’ve started off with a ranger called Vivius (or Viv to his mates). I’m currently working on trying to get my gauntlets on a character known as Xan the Enchanter who is lurking in the bottom of the fabled Nakshel mines. At the moment however I have a party consisting of Viv (Splint mail armour, long sword, two-handed sword and a composite long bow), Imoen the thief (Short bow, short sword and studded leather armour), Montaron the fighter/thief (Short sword, large shield and studded leather armour), Xsar the necromancer (Throwing daggers), Khalid (Splint mail armour, long sword and a short bow) and last but not least Jaheria the fighter/druid (Club, sling and leather armour). My tip of the fortnight is: when starting a new game get a quiver of crossbow bolts for the guy in the barracks in Candlekeep with 18 charisma and he’ll give you a dagger+1 which can be sold for 150gp. This is how I got my really good equipment. Has anyone got any bananas?
